The Outlaw Performance Nutrition Workshop
The Outlaw Way program, from it’s inception, has always taken great pride in the development and improvement of it’s athletes as both technically proficient Weightlifters as well as high level CrossFit athletes. We know and understand the benefit of competing in both sports, to compliment each other; yet also understand that the demands on the body are very different in both endeavors. We feel that understanding proper nutrition techniques to fuel our athletes through maintaining a certain weight class for Weightlifting season, while also building strength, improving aerobic capacity, keeping energy levels high, and fostering recovery during CrossFit season is a major factor in being successful. With precise science, we stress the importance of developing the metabolism of our athletes just as much as we stress the importance of developing strength and movement technique.
The goal of the Outlaw Performance Nutrition Workshop is to give insight and instruction on how to properly use food as fuel through an approach that balances macronutrients (carbohydrates, fats, and protein) in an accurate and specific manner. Whether those goals are cutting weight, gaining weight, maintaining weight, improving energy through workouts, enhancing recovery, aesthetics, or any combination of these needs; there is a proper method and formula. This is not a camp to preach one method of eating over another – it is simply an explanation of science and the way the body actually uses specific nutrients to fuel specific activities.
The Outlaw Performance Nutrition Workshop will be hosted by Team Outlaw athlete and Outlaw Crossfit (HQ) head coach, Nicole Capurso. She holds a BA in Exercise Science from Hofstra University where she also played Division 1 basketball for four years. She is a Certified Sports Nutritionist and Personal Trainer through the National Council of Strength and Fitness, and is both a USAW and CrossFit L1. Nicole is also a two-time CrossFit Regional competitor, three time USAW national meet Weightlifter, and Miami Surge NPGL team athlete; who has found great success in utilizing this method of balancing macronutrients to originally drop an entire weight class and then maintain it, in order to be able to compete in multiple sports simultaneously.
This camp is very different than any other Outlaw series of camps. You may never even snatch a barbell. It will; however, open your mind and educate you on concepts that will play a large role in your performance with a barbell in your hands. Our intent through these camps is to stress the idea that having a proper nutrition template with a scientific base is just as important as having a proper exercise or weightlifting template. Explaining that template and the science behind it will be the focus of the Outlaw Nutrition Camps.

Q&A
Who is the seminar for?
The lecture will be geared toward athletes, recreational athletes, non-athletes, and anyone in between. The ability to properly fuel any level of training sessions will make this seminar beneficial for everyone. The beauty of understanding the science and numbers behind nutrition, is that having a proper plan can benefit anyone from the average gym go-er to a Games athlete. The plan just needs to be precise and individualized based on personal situations and goals.
Will I have the opportunity to have my macronutrient numbers set?
We are capping the enrollment of these workshops to ensure that each attendee can leave with their own, accurate body fat reading, as well as, their own, personal set of macronutrient numbers to fit their specific goals and training. Throughout the camp you will learn how to calculate these numbers on your own, and they will then be reviewed by Nicole if need be.
I want to take this information back to my gym and implement it with my members, will you be coaching us on that?
Yes, this camp is very beneficial for gym owners, coaches, and personal trainers that want to begin to coach others on proper nutrition techniques to fuel very specific goals and training. If you have a special situation or are looking to setup a specific nutrition coaching program at your gym you can speak further with Nicole.
Will there be doughnuts?
Nicole would never travel without doughnuts. Yes, there will be local doughnuts present at each camp. If you have any recommendations on doughnut shops let us know. However, a bacon doughnut must always be saved for Rudy.
