Our first “Event Record” from the 2015 Regionals season came from a young lady who made her debut this past weekend; the overall tenth place finisher – Chloe Gauvin-David. Our 2nd week athletes tested the Regional events just after they were announced, and when I read Chloe’s time on Event 6, I immediately emailed her to see if she’d written down the wrong number. She said she didn’t – her time was 13:34.

Her time on Sunday was 13:30.

The only problem with Chloe’s amazing performance, was that it wasn’t amazing enough to last very long.  Her time lasted until Kari Pearce put up a 13:19 in the very next heat.

Oh well, not a bad way to cap off one of the best rookie debuts we’ve seen in a long time.
