  1. Pretty good day.

    First, I have a meet on the 28th so I started trying to trim a few pounds to make it easier on myself to make weight. I’m a 77kg and I usually walk around at 79-80kg. Two weeks of slight dieting have me down to a consistent 76kg. Don’t have to worry about making weight now.

    Snatches: No misses today. New snatch double PR at 215lbs.

    Jerks: Missed the second jerk on both sets at 90%. Hit both sets at 95%…weird. New jerk double PR at 275. At the start of the cycle my 1 rep max was 275 and very inconsistent.

    Snatch pulls….130% was hard to maintain form.

    Getting stoked for my upcoming meet.

  2. 1) Based on 240# – Missed the last rep (grip slipped), quickly rest and got it.
    2) Based on 300# – Worked up to 90%. The first rep felt easy then on the second rep I mentally/physically froze. I reset and got the second one. I went for 95% but couldn’t get it to come off my shoulders. Right when I was supposed to explode I paniced and my body froze. I have no idea what that was about. I gave it 4 goes, same result each time, threw some things, and called it a night.

    I have a CrossFit (err… Exercise) competition tomorrow that my wife signed me up for. It’s a couples event and my first time competing so it’s probably best that I cut things a bit short tonight. Should be interesting. Hope the rest of you had better results today!
