1) snatch – 1×3@60%, 1×2@70%, 1×2@75%, 1×2@80%, 1×2@85%, 1×2@80%
2) Jerk balance – 1×3@60%, 1×2@70%, 1×2@75%, 2×2@80%, 1×2@75%
3) Clean pulls – 1×3@60%, 1×2@70%, 1×2@80%, 1×2@90%, 1×2@100%, 1×2@90%
4) Good mornings – Work up to 3 sets of 3 at moderate intensity
If not specified % is on the exercise or always on the related lift?
For example today clean pulls % is on 1rm clean pull or clean like yesterday for snatch pulls?
Yes. Early in the cycle all of this was denoted. The 1RM’s we are using for basing percentage work off of are:
BS
FS
Snatch
Clean
C&J
Jerk
Power snatch
Power clean
Power Jerk
Once upon a time we also used our 1RM power position clean/snatch but haven’t seen that in a while. So basically if it’s a movement that is a portion of one of the above, use that 1RM for your percentages.
1) Missed the second rep on the last set. Based on 165#
2)Missed the second rep at 75%. Based on 225#. I really struggled with these and ended up backing the weight off to 70% and 60% for the last two sets. Probably need more practice with jerk balance.
3)Hit all reps without misses. Based on 235#.
4)135#, 185#, 225#. Form broke down a little at 225#.
1) Based on 240# – No misses. Felt sluggish on the last two sets. Didn’t feel very explosive.
2) Based on 300# – No misses. These felt exceptionally bad today. Came close to missing on the 80% sets but barely kept stability.
3) Based on 275# – No misses. Felt good.
4) Done at 120# – Terrible at these. My hamstrings always feel like they are on the verge of tearing and I struggle maintaining balance.
