This weekend marked the beginning of a pretty serious PR battle between Outlaw Barbell’s best 85k lifters – Sam “No, I’m Not Lü” Jay, and Logan “Toto” Dobbs.
Logan started the whole thing with a 152kg PR Clean & Jerk, then after seeing Sam’s Snatch of 125kg from the Portland camp, hit this 125kg PR on Sunday night.
On Saturday in Portland, Sam hit this 145kg Clean & Jerk PR, and BARELY missed 150kg right after. Both of them have qualifying meets coming up in the next few weeks. Which means we’re probably gonna need a couple new singlets for the AO.

So just want to clarify on BBC…
Is it 3 establishing sets + 1 ME, or 4 establishing sets + 1 ME?
“4+1×3” leads me to think its 4 establishing sets. But you then say “3 sets to establish”
The “three sets to establish…” is leftover from 5RM.
We’re taking 4 sets to get a 3RM, then 1 ME set.
