So yesterday I failed to PR on my back squat. I had been really sick last week and missed 2 days of work. I was shooting for 420 (5# PR) and I felt good going up. I shot video of the first miss and was surprised I nearly stood it up. Thinking it was a mental error I tried again firing out of the bottom. The video shows I nearly stood it up again but I’ll be damned if it felt like I hit an immovable wall.

Not sure if anyone has any thoughts on this? I tend to be pretty consistent and steady on squats. I can say with certainty, looking back, there was no way I was moving past that point. If I saw that video & it was someone else I would certainly say it should have been stood up. I was 1/2 way between parallel and up. Very strange?

Only 3 rounds because 1) I was slow and shitty, 2) I hit myself in the throat with the first clean of round 2, and 3) I clipped the box on one of my round 2 jumps. Not a great effort.
