Today my gym, Outlaw CrossFit, received the Greatist (get it?) honor we could ever receive – we got number one on a list. We were voted, nominated, ranked, bequeathed, awarded, opinioned by the writer who we did not pay (I think) the honor of being ranked as The Best Alternative Gym in America or Most Innovative Gym in America, depending upon which part of the article you see first which is kinda confusing and could mean two different things.

This honor is not taken lightly by the crew at Outlaw HQ except for the fact that we beat a hammock gym. We would like to say thank you to Greatist for giving us this award, and thank every gym mentioned especially the Gilligan’s Island gym for sucking enough that we could win, for bringing alternative training to the forefront of the fitness world.

We will continue to strive to push the envelope of gay alternative fitness, and as the arbitrary kings of the entire world realize we have a standard to uphold that will always inspire us. Innovation will always be our goal along with filling the Kill Cliff refrigerator, and our obsession with pushing the envelope of fitness will always remain just like the lint balls on the floor.

  1. Put me in the “from a rack” group this time around. 80% of my FS is now 96% of my max clean, I hate myself.

  2. That is a great honor tobe number one on the list. Will you be reaching out to any of the other gyms that made the list for new stuff for the program? I like the best use of drumstick and best use of wall gyms. I think they could help take TOW to a level that no one could dream of.

    BBG DND not enough time and fighting a lot of soreness/joint pain. Have gone 5 days in a row to catch up.
    Conditioning 14:48 w/ 275 from rack lol at the thought of taking my c&j max from the ground. Practiced metronome pacing 64 bpm first 50 60 bpm second 50 sets of 2 for front squat
