  1. It seems naive to think there isn’t any steroid usage going on in CrossFit. Past history shows that when there is the opportunity to use, athletes will use. Until CrossFit gets to the point where it can implement more strict testing that will be the case here as well.

    The interesting thing here is that there are special challenges for introducing year around testing to CrossFit. There is no professional CrossFit league, anyone with 20 bucks an a video camera can compete. So do you test only the athletes that have qualified for the games or regionals in the past? You will let the new people slip through the cracks. Do you test everyone who participates in the open? A complete logistical nightmare and impossibility.

    1.) 220, 220, 200, 200. kept missing forward at 220 on my first rep.. gotta break the habit of jumping backwards.
    2.) 287 (regripping issues, had to drop and pick up again after first rep.) no attempt at jerk after second clean.
    dropped down and did 276 for 3 sets. All felt really good.
    Strength
    1a) 305, same weight as last monday but felt so much easier this week.
    1b) weightlifting club was moving in on my space so i didn’t do pulls

  12. my body hasnt felt this fatigued since that pre-regionals loading phase over the summer. grip is weak, legs are heavy, and motivation is low 🙁

    worked up to 1rm back squat, 265# only 5# increase. Been stuck after smolov and hatch cycle so coached programmed different cycle for me this time. Missed 275# but was in a really good position unlike times before so happy with that.

    skipped rest since I hurt my shoulder.
