  1. 10 weeks with no max out guys. We’re going to come back to it in 10 weeks. In the meantime we are going to fix your jerk.

  2. 1) 225

Cond: 11:19 @ 225lb – Burpees felt good and moderately fast. Front squats were slower than I would like but legs are still very sore and tired from the squats this week.

80% of my Front squat is 290, that wasn’t happening, so i attempted 275, and failed the first clean. Did the rest of front squats with 245 #, 7,7,6. Cleaning heavy is a whole different world after 50 burpees and without my Adipowers.

11:45 failing the clean at 275 ate about a minute of time, since i just sat on the ground for a bit.

-Was planning on using a rack considering this is 90-95% of my 1rm clean, but saw too many people going from the floor. Let my ego get the best of me.

    This was deceivingly heavy.

    • If you don’t mind me asking, whose template did you follow and how did the cost work out!? These are on my to do list.

      • I followed these: http://www.endofthreefitness.com/how-to-build-jerk-boxes/ … I chose these over others because I can get almost any height from them 5″ to 43″ so they should be very versatile.

I made the tops a bit different. The supports run the same way as the ones in the rest of the blocks. Also, I made the tops a layer of 3/4″ plywood because I had that laying around and a 3/4″ stall mat cut to size.

Cost worked out to under $200 for the materials. Lumber is a lot cheaper if you go to an actual lumber yard as opposed to Lowes/Home Depot. A one pound box of 1.5″ drywall screws and a 5lb box of 3″ drywall screws was all I ended up needing to screw them all together.

They blocks aren’t cabinet grade for sure, but for what they are going to be used for, they are fine. I’ll definitely report on how they hold up to use and abuse. I don’t know how they would hold up for those jerking close to 400, but they seem pretty damn bomb proof to me.

  17. no blocks to work with today. went from hanging below knees
