General question: does anyone have a deficit when they use 45lb plates and a pad? My gym has the rogue hi temps and the 45s give it a deficit. On the reverse side the rogue comp plate 45s we have leave the pad sitting slightly above the plates.
Travis, the standard for hspu is 2 competition 45’s and an abmat. In most gyms though, this equates to 2 rogue, hi-temp 25’s and an abmat

I asked Rudy a while ago about this and if you notice he now clarifies to use hi-temp style plates. He wants there to be a deficit. If you are using comp plates then that is like using hi-temp 25 pound plates, and doesn’t provide the deficit, so you might as well do it on flat ground at that point.
Cool ill be rolling the deficit then for sure

On a positive note Wed I Snatched 175# from Hi-Hang, and CLN & PJ was 220# from Hi-Hang (no high blocks). and I felt good Thurs so did “Grace” and got 2:38 that’s a PR of :36 and second benchmark I’ve gotten under 3:00 (“Diane” time is 2:39)… Hoping some rest tomorrow will get me back on track.
